Ideal keyword

Jan 28th, 08

Keyword, the answer to any successful site and the input to the downfall of any site, keywords are words which explain your site to major search engines like Google and Yahoo. These tags are found in the html of any site in Meta section.

Take a known Arab blog, Jadsblogs, which uses powerful keywords but hard to get ones like Middle east, Linux and politics which I’m sure all relate to his site but when we search on the Internet for any thing close to these there is no change his blog will come up.

The ideal Keyword will always be something in the line of what your Blog/Site is about…Usually writing your name can be the ideal Keyword because when you join Forums, blogs or even service or post in blog you are 50% likely to use a name you use often and then that can be linked or related you.

In another of my views what is important is not the keywords you put there in the meta tag. Most search engines won’t count that as a parameter in their algo anyways. What you should concentrate on is building unique content around the keywords you are targetting and get people to point quality links to that content.

So my tip is if you haven’t wrote anything in your html do so now…

meta name=”keywords” content=”Something, Something” >

Nope, meta tags start with < but if do that the blog system (Wordpress) will read it as a html tag.

I don’t don’t agree adding your name as a keyboard is a good thing, take my real name Ahmed, there millions of result for that name.

Well you have a point there, when i said name thats an example but your name is a common name. My name Sabeur which is uncommon and if you search that there is no change your going to find a blogger with my name.

    Hope that answers your question.

Thank for the great article, i have one question which has been bogging me for ages… Does making a up a Keyword which is within your domain but its not really a word, get you results.

Think about it having a domain like…”Fetujg.com” which has a word which makes no sense what so ever, would anyone search Fetujg by random its unlikely, so its not an ideal keyword on the line of your name.

But having a keywork in your language and written in english will for sure be a keyword for those who know it.
