I’m so happy and I imply like when you wake up and it’s your birthday. Anyway Starbucks just opened a new branch next to my area. I’m happy because I don’t have to go once a month to central London to enjoy great coffee. I didn’t know it was even gona open, because I have been hanging in a different area.
I went there today and what can I say, I love it and I took my N800 to test their Wireless Internet, it not that good but they just opened.

hani, it’s called the arabs with nominal conscience club. I like to call it the humane arabs club. It’s a small club and soon to be extinct since Vichy Arabs like you procreate at a much higher rate.

There is a hate club? You don’t say! I guess I am an honorary evil target.

Suma: Talk of Arabs… Starbucks today was full of Iraqis, i was thinking where was they hiding. I had a laugh listening to them talk about the interior design.
Reb: God, there are hate clubs for everything - even for people who enjoy good things.

Sabeur, to make a long story short, their CEO is Jewish, and was at one point given an award by a Zionist organization. He, like many wealthy jews gives money to Israel. This is where the whole anti-starbucks thing started. Of course a CEO is just a CEO, he doesn’t own the company, and he only has his personal stake to contribute. The company itself has nothing to do with Israel, and actually released a statement to this effect on their website. Having said this, the creators/CEOs of both facebook, and google are also Jewish, and were all also honored in Israel very recently. Should we stop using google search ? Many major international corps. have Jewish investors, and/or branches in Israel. So my opinion is that it’s unrealistic to boycott all of them as some suggest.
Cheers.

We as Muslims and Arabs – donate a lot of money to Palestine, Iraq and Afghanistan and I can honestly that we not much different to Jews who have mixed with the west and we became public enemy number 1.

Right except when an Arab American (Let’s call him Ali) sends money back home, they will often find that the brother of the cousin of the driver of the owner of the organization he contributed money to once went to a mosque with someone whose son goes to the same school as the son of a known member of a terrorist organization.
Then Ali’s assets get frozen, agents come to ask all his friends questions, his phones get tapped, and they prevent him from getting on an airplane!
but I’m just having too much fun with this comment :)

Way too much drama Hani. You complicating things too much. Why is it that people make a big deal about every Arab posting about Starbucks? It always ends up being a political open ended discussion. I don’t think Sabeur meant this post to end up being a political one but just a general interest of his.
I mean seriously, I live in Canada, and the Canadian government supports Israel directly. Am I to leave the country? Same goes for Arab Americans.
Also, instead of Arabs complaining all the time about this company supporting Israel or whatever, why can’t Arabs get off their asses and become great business men and own great world wide cooperations and have that type of power too? Or they are just too busy pointing out what to boycott or not? That’s all they do, COMPLAIN!

Well agents wouldn’t arrest him for no reason… Ali must be doing something he shouldn’t and if that money got to Terrorist then he should be questioned but for them to freeze his assets is just over plain dramatic, I think the US’s Patriotic act gives them the right to tap the phone. Same with the UK – one of the biggest supporters of Israel and what can I do? They give me education, freedom and for me to do something because of their policies is just plain stupid.
Best regards **

I’m not Aarab or Muslim, what you all care if it funds Israel? like Dubai invests then so does Israel, so get over it.
I don’t support the killing but like the Arab Girl said you need be the Jew to beat him - only messing
I think politics ruins blogs

Mona, sorry.
Mute, Not really. I hate all coffee and tea as a matter of taste, but I don’t recommend checking the owner’s political agenda before going to a coffee shop.
It was not my intention to ruin anything.
Cheers.
