My Tunisia
Many Jordanians are having blog about Jordan day, so I though I would something for Tunisia, well my view of Tunisia when I go back.
Tunisia, where can I commence? It’s in North Africa and as all nations of North Africa, we are exceptionally proud individuals. Tunisia is where I grow up for the first 6 years of my life and I feel more connected since I go back every summer. Tunisia has things which I think all Arab nations have, that’s family; I like to think we are like the Italian mafia.
As I mentioned above, I barely visit Tunisia in the summer and if you enquire me about it as an everyday life – I won’t know anything to utter about. My family goes back to Tunisia in the summer due to weddings and as Tunisians my whole family can inhabit a small town (it does Nekrif) so every year new individuals are marrying. Weddings are reasons to come but that’s not why we come – it’s to feel and be with our family. My dad has a thing and doesn’t want us to get lost in different nationalities. I love the days before weddings – those days are magical (lack for a better word), everyone is helping out, we play football and spend the whole night in my old family home in the mountains with the groom eating, cooking don’t forget the tea and laughing. The feeling when you wake up is abnormal you feel at peace and you go down to the Date & fig trees which fill you up. The video below just shows how it is…
The video above is but an example of many like this.
The video above, is me and my cousins showing you how to find food in the middle of no where, the rat looking animal is called Nagas.
The video above has nothing to do with my view of Tunisia, but it shows the capital life in the background.
The video above is from one of my old trips, I think 2004.
