I owned a Ds since it came out. I sold the first generation then got the new Lite version. The Lite didn’t survive the destructive hands of my sister(picture below).
Announced few days back, the new DSI is to be the third version to complement the existing system (lite) and with some new features. Reading on some websites, forums and blog a lot of people have been bashing the system as Nintendo Drops the GBA slot for exchange the device is slimmer (but people are stupid. What do they know?). The new system will cost Ds Lite + £10($20), so people who just bough a DS Lite got owned.
two cameras, one on the inside and one on the outside to be used for gaming possibilities and as a standard point and shoot.
music playback, but only AAC files will be utilized
WiFi shop, similar to that of the Wii’s
an SD slot, to support the data that will need to be stored
For one, I don’t see anything special with the device but I can understand that Nintendo is aiming this update to younger generation whom don’t own a music device or maybe camera phone. The camera’s might add pleasurable game play and new games. Wifi shop is a good move. I might get one for my sister during the xmas sales.
difference.
